She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy McDevitt and Millie McDevitt (Beasley); her husband Charles Burns; her sisters, Agnes Burgin and Frieda Pauley; her grandson Joey Deweese; and her children-in-law, Cheryl Burns (Lamar) and Tim W. Wilder.
She is survived by: her children, Cary Burns (Terry), Denise Burns (Ron Thorbecke), Alan Burns (Susan) and Marsha "Marci" Burns-McDevitt (Robert Luttrull); her sisters, Mary Kathern Stiles, Sue Broadus, Janice Stoner (Marvin) and Nancy McDevitt; and her sisters-in-law, Francis Burns, Tody Hartwell and Pearl Louise Burns. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
