It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Carter of Francisco, Indiana, born in Patoka, Indiana, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father David Allen Carter; his wife Linda Sue Carter (Holder); and his siblings, Cora "Catherine" Folkers, Rev. Syl Carter, Neal Carter, Dillard Carter and Iona Watts.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry McCoy (James), Linda Ricketts, Scott Carter (Michelle), Eric Carter (Robin), Jenny White (JD), Chip Holder (Lisa) and Annette Holder; his siblings, Janice Whitehead and Dewayne Pearson (Roseann); his grandchildren, Zachary Downen (Jenna), Callie Vories, Meganne Angle, Corry Ricketts, Dakota Ricketts, Brock Carter, Audra Thompson (Shawn), Brody Carter, Amber Carter, Abby Carter, Jaleigh White, Jaylen White, Austin Holder, Alli Holder, Ashley Hume, Lyndsay Dalton, Katie Owens and Alex Owens (Dee); and his great grandchildren, Addison Downen, Malaki Downen, Cade Downen, Callahan Downen, Carter Vories, Chase Vories, Evelynn Lady, Jackson Smith and Gavin Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
