It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Kay Spreen of Fountaintown, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Faut and Lois Faut (Andis); and her sister Patty Grinstead. She is survived by: her husband John Spreen; her children, Karen Elsea (Bob) of Greenfield and Kevin Spreen of New Palestine; her sister Darleen Gentry; her brother-in-law Jace Grinstead; her cousins, John and Connie Kottlowski; her grandchildren, Nathan Spreen (Jess Cook), Taylor Spreen, Ivey Spreen, Robbie Elsea, Regan Pollard (Casey), Rylee Shephard (Joe) and Rory Pitzer (Cameron); and her great grandchildren, Kinley Carlyle, Julian Fahl, Gracie and Sophia Lipp. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
