It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVerne Young of Fountaintown, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruford Sanders and Helen Sanders (Bettcher); her husband Gene Young; her children, Michael Young and Sandra Pickard; and her sister Emma Jean Gieselman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher Pickard (Michelle) of Oakland Township, Taryn Goeppner (Kyle) of Jasper and Karissa Young (Sandro Fioriti) of New York City; her great grandchildren, Kathleen Pickard, Jessica Pickard and Benjamin Goeppner; her sister Jackie Giest; and her children-in-law, John Pickard and Carolyn Young.
