He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Basey and Stella Basey (Bennett); his wife Delores Basey (Hewitt); and his siblings, James "Bill" Basey and Ruby Kinder.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Jenks (Philip) of Leesburg, IN, Marva Kutz (Jim) of Fountaintown and Tamara Wilson (David) of Gore; his grandchildren, Michael Jenks (Laura), Laurel Davis (Chris), Tiffany Beard (Ryan), Victoria Veach, Hope Wilson, Taylor Wilson and Maxine Wilson; his great grandchildren, Avery, Carter, Kathryn, Anabelle and Jimmie; and his brother Robert E. Basey (Carolyn) of Indianapolis.
