He was predeceased by: his spouse LaDema Martin; his son Dennis R. McDermitt; and his sisters, Catherine Reynolds, Clara Porter, Carol Sue Bumpus and Betty Rexrode.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry L. Vosmeier (Robert) and Diana L. McDermitt; his daughter-in-law Tracey Frame (Dennis); his sons, Philip W. McDermitt and Jerry A. McDermitt; his siblings, Rosetta Brower (Bill) and David McDermitt (Carol); and his pet Penny. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
