He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Penny Fudge Smith; his stepfather Bart Smith; his father Gary Hutzell; his stepmother Susan Toschlog Hutzell; his children, Kaylee Lynn Hutzell and Javin James Hutzell; his significant other Chasity Hill; his partner's children, Chasta, Hailey, Ava and Cole; his grandmother Marie Hutzell; his sister Stephanie Hutzell (Eric Woodruff); his stepsiblings, Lindsey Nicholson (Jonathan), Brittnie Moore and Tyler Saunders; his nephews, David and Jaden; and his grandparents, Larry Fudge, Wilma Roark and Jim Hutzell. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions are encouraged for the benefit of Josh's children, in care of Kerra Mendenhall.
