James Holmes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2021, at the age of 92, James Holmes (Fountain City, Indiana), born in Richmond, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Holmes and Mabel Norton Holmes; his son Terry Holmes; his grandson Dustin James Kirtley; his siblings, Mary McClure, Dorothy Blackford and Ralph L. Holmes; his brother-in-law Bill McClure; his niece Vicki Holmes; and his nephews, Leroy Blackford and Rick Holmes.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Abrams Holmes; his children, Holly Love (Tim), Howard Holmes (Pam), Julianne Cochran (Doug), Bruce Holmes (Lorie), Teresa Rynard, David Daly, Tonia Banter (Jeff), Tyrone Holmes and Jim Kirtley (Angie); his grandchildren, Terry Love, Jeremy Holmes (Lisa), Sarah Scholl (Adam), Nikki Loeffler (Eddie), Matthew Holmes (Jane), Shelly Soellinger (Tyler), Martin Holmes, Alex Kirtley (Christy), Coleman Kirtley, Ian, Elizabeth Cochran, Celeste Holmes, Jacob Kirtley and Chevelle Nolte; and his pet Sammie. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
