She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Willard Robinson and Ruby Fay Parker Robinson; her husband Walter B. Hersey; and her sister Joann Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Mike (Ann Hersey), Steve (Mary Hersey), Jeff (Jodee Hersey) and Vonda Wise; and her sister Sharlene Clouse. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
