She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edgar and Ada Irene Smith Short; her husband Mack E. Nicholson; and her siblings, Lois McFarland, Phil Short, Wayne Short, Max Short and Don Short.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Nicholson, Pam (Tom Fulton) and Brenda (Jim Hollinger); her grandchildren, Tim Fulton, Terry Fulton, Renee White and Beth Beard; and her brother Kenny Short. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
