He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarite Powell (Ingram) and Ovid Powell; and his brother Earl Powell. He is survived by: his wife Sue Powell; his children, Tammie Powell Hodges (Brian), Lori Kendall (Steve) and Phil Powell Jr. (Lisa); his grandchildren, Devin Griffith (Mandi), Chad Griffith (Kayla), Shane Griffith (Sarah), Zeke Werden (Jessica), Shelby Earley (Logan), Philip Powell III, Dustin Powell, Chase Powell, Wyatt Powell, Colton Powell, Heath Powell and Amber Smith (Josh); and his siblings, Terry Powell, Ted Powell and Mahala Boring. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
