He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Gehring and Sallie Gehring (Richards); his son Chris Gehring; and his siblings, Nancy Corder, Donald, Dickie, Martin and Billy Gehring.
He is survived by: his wife Jonnie Gehring (Steele); his children, Porcha Fuller and Jansen Gehring (Kelly); his grandchildren, Cole and Jesse Gehring; and his sister Sherry Threet. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
