He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Valentine and Esther Valentine (Clem); his wife Betty J. Valentine (Bland); and his siblings, Louise Mann, Mary Cheshier, Betty Kellam, Hubert, Carl and Jim Valentine.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Valentine (Susan) of Anderson, Cynthia Conner (Wilson) of Fortville and Bryan Valentine (Kelly) of Port Orange, Florida; his sisters, Doris Ireton of New Castle, Indiana and Irene Davis (Norman) of Anderson, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Lisa Shetterly (Joe), Derrick Valentine (Kimberly), Tyler Haley (Paige), Jason Valentine and Megan Hitt (Mike). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
