It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Valentine of Fortville, Indiana, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Bland and Talitha Bland (Lacy); her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Bland and Nancy Dowden; and her brother-in-law Frank Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Valentine; her children, Rick Valentine (Susan) of Anderson, Bryan Valentine (Kelly) of Port Orange, Florida and Cynthia Conner (Wilson) of Fortville; her grandchildren, Lisa Shetterly (Joe), Derrick Valentine (Kimberly), Tyler Haley (Paige), Jason Valentine and Megan Hitt (Mike); and her siblings, Carolyn Hudson and Denny Bland (Debbie) of Anderson. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
