He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Rectenwald and Helen Rectenwald (Edgar); his sister Helen Hill; and his fathers-in-law, David Hill and John Gayton.

He is survived by: his children, James Rectenwald (Mya) and Jennifer LaForge; his grandchildren, Spencer, Lily Welch (Dwight), Audrey and Ethan Rectenwald; and his sisters, Judy Gayton and Kathleen Short (Roger). He is also survived by his family and friends.
