He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Wood and Ethelwynn Wood; his wife Nellie Kuceyeski; and his siblings, Margaret Wilson, Arthur and Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Wood (Barbara) of Marysville, Kevin Wood of Barberton and Kimberly Lundy (Jack) of Orange Park, Florida; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Wood, Jessica Costic (Christopher), Stephanie Lundy (Thomas Brooks) and Michael Lundy; and his great grandchild Thomas Walter Brooks.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Church (4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chapel (1301 E State St, Alliance, OH 44601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Walter & Nellie Wood Scholarship Fund at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School or the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, 404 E. Washington Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
