With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vivian Swopshire (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on August 28, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Swopshire-Walker and Hazel B. Swopshire-Walker (Hilliard); her siblings, Derrick Swopshire and Barbara Swopshire; and her stepparents, Charie Walker and Canary Bolds-Swopshire.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Thomas, Darnell Swopshire and Zachary Swopshire; her siblings, Curtis Swopshire Jr. (Sheila), Curtis Jones (Deborah), Terangi Phifer (Brenda), Sally Swopshire (Dandrae Douse), Tammie Swopshire, Deartha Swopshire, Etta Walker-Scott (Brit) and Allison Walker (Kenneth Belcher); her aunts, Shirley Bartlett, Juestean Miller, Louisa Malone and Martiss Banks; and her uncle Quintin Hilliard. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
