He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Rao and Rose Rao; his grandparents, Michelina Rao, Rose and Joseph Aliverto; his sisters, Michelina Bogart and Felicia Rao; and his stepdaughter Angie Sutton.

He is survived by: his wife Amanda Rao; his daughters, Molly Rao, Katy Rao and Marjorie Pokrzywinski (Mark); his stepchildren, Jonathan Sutton (Caleb Temple) and Alyssa Bolinger (JT Graham); and his grandchildren, Cameron Rao, Savannah Rao, Erik Pokrzywinski, Mia Pokrzywinski, Karina Bolinger, Jay Graham, Ollie Graham and Alyx Graham.

Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
