He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Armstrong and Frank Armstrong; and his siblings, Wanda White, Dorothy Walker, Ruth Boroff, Shirley Pattison, Pat McMasters, Catherine Justice and Ervin Armstrong.

He is survived by: his wife Rosalind G Armstrong (Groman); his daughters, Nicole L. Armstrong and Danielle M. Cardenas; his grandchildren, Gabriella R. Cardenas, Thomas E. Cardenas and Noelle E. Cardenas; his great grandchildren, Nova Karnes and Sol Karnes; and his siblings, Judy Olevnik (Pete) and Jack Armstrong (Mary).
