He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hensler and Irene Hensler; his wife Sharon; and his grandson Matthew. He is survived by: his children, Brian (Jenny), Kevin (Amy), Sara and Susan; and his brothers, Tom and Jack. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 3:45 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church (1502 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hope Lodge, a haven for cancer patients and their families, and Matthew 25.
