He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Harvey Elam; and his son Larry Dale Elam. He is survived by: his children, Terry Elam of Winder, GA, Kimberly Elam Dufour and Patricia Elam Payne; his grandchildren, Abbagail Hyder, Terrance Elam, Erin Elam and Kody Elam; his great grandchildren, Adali, Tippi, Benjamin, Cidney, Barrett, Zaiden and Ari; and his siblings, Shelby Corley, Carol Elam and Larry Elam.
