It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Alter of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Baldridge and Eleanor Baldridge (Downes); and her brother Donald Baldridge. She is survived by: her husband Joseph A. Alter of Fort Wayne, IN; and her daughters, Carol Baker (Mark) of Temperance, MI, Susan Young (Tom) of San Marcus, CA and Lois Nern (Cris) of Sedro Woolley, WA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, St. Charles Catholic School Assistance Fund, Heartland Hospice or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
