She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Dehnert and William Koenemann. She is survived by: her husband Ali Shahaj; and her daughters, Wendy Badgerow (Rick Robbins), Amy Stoner (Robert Weingartner), Serena McMullen (Greg) and Angela Cummins (Joe). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Parkview Hospice.
