Sharon R Dunton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon R Dunton (Fort Wayne, Indiana), who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Clayton E. Dunton; her parents, Philip H. Spangle and Juanita B. Spangle; and her brother Kenneth A. Spangle. She is survived by: her friend Persian; her children, Russ Dunton (Laura) of Albion, Rick Dunton of Fort Wayne and Suzy Weibel (Jonathan) of State College, PA; and her siblings, Ray Spangle (Pat) of Fort Wayne and Cheryl Johnson (Paul) of Bloomington. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Sharon requests that any donations be given to Matthew 25 Health and Care.

“Sharon was a dear friend for 38 years, traveling companion with each other and with our spouses, business partner in treating eating disorders, and confidant. We shared many events in our lives and in our profession. She had an open heart and mind. She was caring and kind and thought of others first. I am not the only one who will miss her greatly even though we have missed her in recent years as Alzheimers stole her from us. She is having the conversations with Jesus she always wanted.”
