She is survived by: her husband Jim Taper; her children, Carla Booker (James) and James Taper Jr. (Laura); her grandchildren, Joseph Taper, Blaine Taper, Brandon Robbins, Selena Willis, Stephanie Myers, Sarah Westbrook and Sandra Garza; her great grandchildren, Ryann Adams, Austin Bray, Collyn Willis, Elijah Garza and Connor Westbrook; and her siblings, Brenda Cox and John Fisher (Linda).

A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (10702 Aboite Center Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (10700 Aboite Center Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for final expenses.
