He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jefferies and Helen Jefferies (Hoffman); his siblings, Donald, Gene Jefferies and Sharon Miller; his grandchildren, Nathan Hawk and Patricia Lucia (Jefferies); and his great grandchild Austin Baller.

He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Mayers; and his children, Steven E. Jefferies (Becky) of Glen Ellyn, Denise L. Bordner (Michael) of Bluffton, IN, David A. Jefferies (Victoria) of Wolcottville, IN, Daniel M. Jefferies (Shari) of Fort Wayne, IN, Cheryl L. Hawk (Doug) of Germantown, MD and Curtis D. Jefferies (Pamela) of Wawaka, IN. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
