He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Wesley and Theresa Catherine Murphy; and his siblings, Pat, Jane (Bill), Elaine, Tom (Sally) and Tim (Bonnie).

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Richard Murphy (Christina), Dana Anspach (Wes) and Tracy Cline (Mark); his brother Jack; and his close friends, Jake, Wilma and Alan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
