He is survived by: his birth father Richard J. Ridley Sr.; his wife Janice M. Ridley (Harris); his children, Anthony J. Ridley (Rebecca), Richard J. Ridley III (Condra), Teresa Ridley Yarbrough, Nicholas P. Ridley, Tiea Q. Lee and Randall C. Ridley; and his siblings, Rev. Juanita V. Ridley Wasson (Emmanuel III), Erma J., Roberta F. Ridley, Cynthia J. Ridley Underwood (Walter), Danielle D. Ridley and James Irvin Ridley Sr. (Nicole). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
