We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, at the age of 93, Richard Edwin Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Janice; his brother Thomas Smith; and his parents, Paul Smith and Anna Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Natalie Smith and Elizabeth Smith-Meyer (Mark); his grandchildren, Alexandra Balle (Mark) and Ian Meyer; his great grandchild Nicholas Balle; and his close friend Maxine Snyder.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harper's Community Funeral Home (740 IN-930, New Haven, IN 46774). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to The Shepherd House or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven.
