He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Johnston and Velma L. Johnston (Fischer); and his brother Jim Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Long (Austin) of Indianapolis, Greg Johnston (Nikole) of Hollidaysburg, PA and Richard Johnston Jr. of Hollidaysburg, PA; and his brother Bob Johnston (Judy) of Mint Hill, NC.. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
