He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Franklin and Ida Mae Carnahan (Timberlin); his son Jeffery Lynn Carnahan; his brothers, Clifford (Frances Carnahan), Ralph (Jackie Carnahan) and Jim Carnahan; and his siblings-in-law, John Robert Georgi, David, Barbara Houghton, James, Betty Houghton and Miriam Houghton.
He is survived by: his wife Nanci Ann Houghton; his children, Cheryl Burton (Tony) of Deep Gap, Christie Carnahan Whitton of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Brian Carnahan (Roberta) of Spencerville, Indiana; his children-in-law, Sandy Carnahan of Auburn, Indiana and Sam Whitton of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Joshua Carnahan (Jennifer) of Auburn, Adam Carnahan (Kenzie) of Fort Wayne, Michael Burton of Deep Gap, Dustin Burton of Deep Gap, Robert Carnahan of Auburn, Maggie Carnahan of Spencerville and Nicholas Carnahan of Warsaw, Poland; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Luke, Jade, Noah, Vinny, Emma, Ayrian, McKenna, Lily, Sophia, Asher, Zebulun, Tobias and Juniper; his siblings, Opal Georgi of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Harry Carnahan (Mary Ann) of Grabill; his sister-in-law Sherry Carnahan of Fort Wayne, Indiana.; and his caregivers, Aquila, Lisa, KiMara, Deb, Sarah and Tracy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Life Bridge Church (12719 Corbin Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46845).
Memorials may be given to Gideons International or Life Bridge Church – Missions.
