He is survived by: his wife Lydia "Lil" Brinkman; his children, Shelly Lindsay, Stephen Brinkman, Matt Brinkman (Christina) and Lisa Swogger (Matt); his grandchildren, Alexandria Schliesser (Jeff), Whitney Nelson (Matt) and Mason Swogger; his great grandchildren, Jace, Hayes and Stella; and his sisters, Nancy Shipman (Bill), Janice Moser (Scott) and Marilyn Reineke (Roger).

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Central Ministries (5801 Schwartz Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835).
