He is survived by: his parent Ratna Chowdhury; his wife Janette Shappell; his stepchildren, Arjun Frederick Kumar and Pooja Marie; his children, Arjun Chowdhury (Samantha), Pooja Chowdhury and Katie King (Jon); his grandchildren, Baylor, Parker Chowdhury, Charlotte and Ava King; his sister Ranjita Sheth (Samir); his niece Kritika; his uncle Dipak; his aunt Monjusree Chowdhury; and his cousins, Sudip Kumar and Sagar Kumar Chowdhury.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice in Raj's name.
