She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Compton and Dora Compton; her husband Donald Schleitwiler; and her sister Mary Wood. She is survived by: her son Dan Schleitwiler (Julie); and her grandchildren, Danny Schleitwiler (Amanda), Anna Scalet (Christopher) and Kevin Schleitwiler.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Waterleaf Women's Center, Aurora, Il.
