She was predeceased by: her parents, Ioan "John" Zakhi and Anghlina Zakhi (Sas); her husband Roy Puryear; and her siblings, Eugenia, John, Virgil, Lester and Costica.

She is survived by: her daughters, Victoria Romey and Angela Puryear; and her brother Victor Zakhi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and friends.
