He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel Shippy and Edna Shippy (Fisher); his sons, Gary Shippy and Doug Shippy; and his siblings-in-law, Nadine and Harlan Veerman.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Reinhart; his son Greg; his daughters-in-law, Susan Shippy of Auburn and Maureen Shippy of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Justin Shippy, Michelle Shippy, Eric Shippy (Stephanie), Tyler Shippy (Chelsea), Alexandra Shippy and Cassidy Shippy; his great grandchildren, Addison Shippy, Aubrey Shippy, Ayda Shippy and Cooper Shippy; and his sister Donna Hartman of Corunna.
