He was predeceased by: his father Howard Gene; his sister Rebecca Sue Carey; and his brother-in-law Richard Faurote. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; and his siblings, Sharon Faurote, Steven Carey (Annette), Theresa Clausen (Michael), Anita Edwards (Mark) and Annette Carey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
