He was predeceased by: his sister Marcia Gunter. He is survived by: his children, Jim Gater of Fort Wayne, Jeff Gater (Kristen) of Westfield and Katie Gater of Fort Wayne; his granddaughters, Makenzie, Megan and Emma; and his pets, Kiera, Snickers and Charlie.
