She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Martin and Clara Martin (Minich); her husband James M. Sternberger; and her siblings, Marvene Zuber, Geraldine Kline, Joan Bauman and Gerald Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Sternberger (Carol), Diane Menze (Ron) and Michael Sternberger (Barbara); her grandchildren, Erik (Ashley), Nicole (Steven), Laura (Brendan), Anna (Jeff), Allison, Zachary (Yoko) and Hayley; her great grandchildren, Madison, Bennett and Moira; and her brother Leo Martin.
Memorials may be directed to Masses in remembrance of Maxine, Kate's Kart, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
