Maurice F. Heckman Obituary

We bid farewell to Maurice F. Heckman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 30, 2024 at the age of 96. Maurice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Heckman and Elsie Heckman (Roembke) of Fort Wayne; his wife Barbara Heckman (Zoch); and his sister Imogene Bultemeier. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Gerke (James), Bonita Cook (William), Terence Heckman (Theresa) and Pamela Strater (Dennis); his grandchildren, Melissa Gerke, Jonathon Gerke, Brenda Stauffer, Brian Cook, Todd Heckman, Trisha Koble, Laura Wallace and Elizabeth Parker; and his sisters, Betty Schroeder and Donna Fenner. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals (6810 Old Trail Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46809). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
