He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Vollen and Joan Vollen (DuBeere); his daughters, Amy Vollen and Brittney Vollen; his stepdaughter Heather Serres; and his brother-in-law Jim Hedlund.

He is survived by: his wife Taina Vollen; his stepdaughters, Danielle Rodenbeck and Dana Schappacher; his grandsons, Gerald and Matthew; and his siblings, Byron (Linda), Drew Vollen (Connie), Frederic (Kelly), Marc Vollen (Kim) and Shelley Hedlund. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
