With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Peterson in Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Marion, Alabama, who passed away on May 27, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Brooks and Bessie Brooks (Hood); her husband Herman Peterson, Sr.; her daughter Cathy Peterson; her grandson John Albert Peterson; her siblings, Aliese Davis, Rosie Rutledge, Earl Chapman, Willie James Chapman, Luellen Chapman, Edward Brooks and Lawrence Brooks (LP); and also Louise Bray.
She is survived by: her sister Olivia Betties; and her children, Shirley Peterson-Williams, Pamela Hines (Glynn), Herman Albert Peterson, Jr. (Liz), Stanley Peterson (Lydia), Clyde Peterson (Rosabelle) and Greg Peterson. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
