He is survived by: his wife Carol Hecht of Fort Wayne, IN; his children, Linda Hecht, Steve Hecht (Diane) of New Boston, MI and Jim Hecht (Susan) of Naperville, IL; his brother Thomas Hecht (Beverly) of Wheaton, IL; his grandchildren, Fletcher, Griffin, Cooper Hecht, Tyler Hecht, Alina Hecht and Jason Hecht (Kelly); and his great grandchildren, Marlo and Leon.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church/School.
