He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gerardot and Agnes Gerardot (Linder); his siblings, Rita Bredemeyer, Colette Aspacher, Audrey Miller, Twila Rose Gerardot Weber and Rodger Gerardot; his stepbrother Herman Linder; his stepson Michael Van Patten; and his grandchildren, Faith Marie Main and Blake Van Patten.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Gerardot (Fox); his daughters, Victoria Thompson (Jim), Annette Meggison, Deanne Gerardot, Sandra Parks and Angela Hendrickson (Rick); and his stepchildren, Laura Leonard (Jerry), William Van Patten (Dawnda), Dawn M. Van Patten and Gerald Van Patton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). The military honors will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
