She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cooper and Esther Watson; her husband Richard Forbes; her son Stephen Gater; her stepmother Dorothy Cooper; and her siblings, Herbert Cooper and Carolyn Warner.

She is survived by: her daughter Marcia Peters of Lima, Ohio; her stepson Kirk Forbes of Noblesville; her grandchildren, Amy Gagliardi (Scott), Jennifer Winkeljohn (Tony), Jason Peters (Erica) and Curtis Gater (Zolakah); her great grandchildren, Tyler Winkeljohn, Adam Winkeljohn, Alexis Peters and Aiden Gater; and her sisters, Sharon Fleetwood, Laura Jane Cooper and JoEllyn Murphree.

Memorial donations in Marianna's honor may be given to a charity of the Donor's Choice.
