She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene B. Kern and June G. Kern (Gruwell). She is survived by: her children, Sarah June Quirk and Devin Thomas Quirk; her siblings, Debra Kern of Fort Wayne, Julie Troyka of Saint George and Gary Kern (Kelli) of Aurora; and also Brian Hornbecker. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
