He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Liechty and Helen Liechty; and his brother Lester Liechty. He is survived by: his wife Ann Schladenhauffen Liechty; his children, Angela Engelberth (Adrian) and Derek Liechty (Molly); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amara, Ethan, Charles and Ewan; his stepmother Ruth Kehr Liechty; and his siblings, Naomi Johnson, Ken Liechty (Marvina), Harold Liechty (Marta), James Liechty (Chris), Roberta Taritas, Paul Liechty (Donna), Carol Casiano (Rudy) and Curtis Liechty (Joy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Summit Church (5903 E Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
