He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Liechty and Helen Liechty; and his brother Lester Liechty. He is survived by: his wife Ann Schladenhauffen Liechty; his children, Angela Engelberth (Adrian) and Derek Liechty (Molly); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amara, Ethan, Charles and Ewan; his stepmother Ruth Kehr Liechty; and his siblings, Naomi Johnson, Ken Liechty (Marvina), Harold Liechty (Marta), James Liechty (Chris), Roberta Taritas, Paul Liechty (Donna), Carol Casiano (Rudy) and Curtis Liechty (Joy).
