He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Schubert and Laura Schubert; his son Jerry Schubert; and his siblings, Kenwood, Dale, Jack Schubert and Yvette.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Charles "Chuck" Schubert (Jessica), David Schubert (Angie), Gloria Berndt, Eileen Schubert and Nancy Selvia (Tim); and his sisters, Bonnie Mueller and Mary Falk. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
