He was predeceased by: his sons, Broderick, Larry and Jermarlon Lovelace; his granddaughter Shaneia Causwell; his parents, Charlie, Sr. Collins and Irlene Collins; his brothers, Charlie, Jr., Jackie and Cardell Collins; his nephews, Prentice Ewing and Roosevelt Collins, Jr.; and his niece Chasity Lucas-Craig.
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Mae (Poochie) of Fort Wayne, IN; his children, Chris Lovelace, Jermichael Lovelace of Fort Wayne, IN. and Charetta Douglas-Clark (Dominich) of West Point, MS.; and his siblings, Roosevelt Collins (Ethel Mae), Ronnie Lee Collins, Deborah Kizer and Carol Prosser (Kevin) of Fort Wayne, IN.. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
