He is survived by: his children, Holly Bertz of San Diego, California and Christopher Bertz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandsons, Alexander Bertz and Nicholas Bertz (Stephanie) of Fort Wayne; his great grandchildren, Lilly and Avery Bertz; his sister-in-law Juanita Romer; his nieces, Wanda Yates, Fay Pletcher and Renee Newhouse; and his nephew Marc Hunsberger.
